Roy Orr Moral Courage Award
Judge Jackie Miller serves as Justice of the Peace for Ellis County Precinct 2 and is a fourth generation lifelong resident of Ellis County. He graduated from Italy High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Baylor University. He was elected to office in 1997 and has been serving Ellis County ever since.
Jackie Miller is our 2010 recipient of the Roy Orr Moral Courage Award for his work with truant students in Ellis County. He has worked with the Moral Courage Foundation to offer truants the opportunity to participate in a Character Development Program designed to help them reverse their course and get back on the right track.
We are proud to honor Judge Miller as a model of Moral Courage in our communities and for our young people.
