OUR MISSION:
In a world where many people simply follow their peers, moral courage allows someone to stay true to their values. Having the courage to follow your beliefs helps build character and can create a positive change in those around you. Although moral courage is often seen as rejecting immoral beliefs, it is also about spreading the positive teachings of Jesus Christ. Moral courage means choosing the principles taught in the Bible over the actions of others around you. Living according to the Bible requires commitment, strength, and the willingness to be different from the world.

Moral courage can mean lots of things, but when you zoom in, it is how you seek to live when people may not be watching. It means being able to shut down gossip even when you may be the topic of the table next time, due to your boldness. It is the ability to invite a stranger to sit with you, or forgiving someone that wronged you, because that is the example that has been set before us. It is important to be bold when the world expects timidness!

Moral courage, to me, is choosing to do what is biblically right, even when it isn’t necessarily the easy path. Moral courage is displaying good character in all aspects of my life. Having moral courage calls us to live like Jesus, which requires a lifestyle of obedience, love and righteousness that mimics Jesus’ own actions. It is important because in doing so, we lead others to the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. As my relationship with Christ matures, he is refining my moral courage. I will never be perfect in this life, but my strongest goal is to live righteously in obedience to him.
